Spencer K. Warnick

Spencer Warnick has been involved in the intellectual property field since 1990. Prior to returning to the Capital Region in 1996, Mr. Warnick was a patent law clerk with the law firm of Oliff & Berridge in Alexandria, VA. Prior to that, Mr. Warnick was with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington D.C. for six years. During his time at the Patent Office, Mr. Warnick attained the title of U.S. Primary Patent Examiner. 

Mr. Warnick has a wide range of experience in intellectual property including rights procurement, infringement negotiations, opinions and client portfolio counseling. In particular, he has represented clients ranging in size from independent inventors to large corporate entities in their patent procurement. Mr. Warnick also has extensive experience in preparing patent infringement, validity and enforceability opinions. He has lectured numerous times at Universities and Continuing Legal Education seminars regarding intellectual property law both domestically and internationally. His technical experience includes electro-mechanical, software/business methods and mechanical engineering related matters.  He is active in local economic development activities through the Capital Region's Center for Economic Growth.
