Michael
Hoffman divides his practice between patent prosecution involving
complex electrical, computer and software inventions, and providing
intellectual property counseling to small and midsize companies, and
universities.
Since
1993, he has been involved in the intellectual property law field and
has represented clients ranging in size from independent inventors to
large corporations. Before co-founding Hoffman Warnick LLC, Mr. Hoffman
held the title of Senior Software Engineer with Intermetrics
Microsystems Software in Cambridge,
MA, and Systems Engineer
with Electronic Data Systems in Troy,
MI.
As
part of his practice, Mr. Hoffman has also spoken and written on such
topics as "Designing an Entrepreneurial Strategy," "Licensing Your
Software Products" and "Signed Contract Ensures Software Ownership."
Mr.
Hoffman is a recipient of The Business Review's 2004 "40 Under Forty"
award, which recognizes the brightest up-and-coming young members of
the Capital Region business community.
