Patent Technical Specialist

Nathan B. Davis' services primarily focus on preparing patent specifications and providing technical assistance relative to patent prosecution matters in the fields of chemistry and nanotechnology.  He is familiar with numerous technologies with particular emphasis in the chemical and nanomaterials fields including semiconductor nanocrystals and quantum dots and their inclusion into matrix materials such as epoxies, sol-gels, resins and polymers used in spin coating, drop casting, and printing. He also worked extensively in the integration of nanomaterials into such applications as LEDs, photovoltaics (solar cells), electroluminescent devices, and barcodes. .

Prior to joining Hoffman Warnick, Mr. Davis served various roles at Evident Technologies.  Of these, the most important was managing the Intellectual Property portfolio, including drafting patent applications and responses to office actions, analyzing and assessing internal Invention Disclosures, and completing patent landscapes, while managing outside counsel. He was involved directly with the development of new technologies as well as with the Trademark portfolio and branding of current technologies.
