ALBANY , NY (April 11, 2008)(8:00 a.m.)(EST) - Hoffman, Warnick & D'Alessandro LLC (HWD), an intellectual property law firm based in Albany , NY , is proud to announce the appointment of David E. Rook as an Associate.

Mr. Rook’s  practice will include intellectual property litigation and appeals and patent and trademark prosecution and licensing.  His addition to Hoffman Warnick & D’Alessandro continues to strengthen the firm’s growing intellectual property litigation and appeals practice.

Mr. Rook brings twelve years of civil litigation and appeals experience in both state and federal courts to the firm.  He was admitted to the Patent Bar of the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1997.  He received his training in intellectual property at Albany Law School .

Mr. Rook’s background includes a B.S. degree in biological sciences from the University at Albany and an M.B.A. in financial economics from the University at Buffalo .

Mr. Rook is admitted to practice in New York State , United States Patent and Trademark Office, United States District Courts (Northern, Southern & Western Districts of New York ), United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, United States Court of Federal Claims, and United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Rook’s professional associations include the New York State Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, and Albany County Bar Association.
