ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Function

Perform the spectrum of legal and/or technical tasks for intellectual property patent, trademark, copyright application, prosecution, infringement or litigation processes.

Reports to:  Partners

Subordinates:  None

Major Responsibilities  

• Research, prepare & execute patent and trademark application

• Provide legal advice to clients in filing patent applications

• Interpret patent laws and regulations

• Issue opinions on clients’ patents and trademarks

• Examine and compare legal data and case file to conduct due diligence for patent applications

Qualifications

Education: Juris Doctorate degree
                  New York State Bar license
                  US Patent & Trademark Office Admission
